Debate resumed on the following motion:
That Dáil Éireann approves the exercise by the State of the option or discretion under Protocol No. 21 on the position of the United Kingdom and Ireland in respect of the area of freedom, security and justice annexed to the Treaty on European Union and to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, to take part in the adoption and application of the following proposed measure:
Recommendation for a Council Decision authorising the opening of negotiations on an agreement between the European Union and the Republic of Kazakhstan on readmission,
a copy of which was circulated to each member of Dáil Éireann on 29th May, 2025.

I must now deal with a postponed division relating to the motion regarding the opening of negotiations on an agreement between the European Union and the Republic of Kazakhstan. On Wednesday, 11 June 2025, on the question, "That the motion be agreed to", a division was claimed and in accordance with Standing Order 85(2), that division must be taken now.
