Mary, Miriam, Mary and Maurice should never have had to fight this hard to hear the words they did today. We should never have met outside Leinster House when they were outside on hunger strike, in the cold and dark alone, as they were so many times as children. That should never have happened. They should never have had to endure that. I thank them all for entrusting me with their stories. It broke my heart the first time I met them, and it still breaks my heart today. I am sorry for getting emotional, but it is on their behalf. What they endured as children and what they are enduring today is just heartbreaking. As Deputy Cairns has just said, to know that their entry and exit dates were incorrect is wrong. The other thing that is wrong is the fact that they all have to go home tonight because they were not put up for the night in Dublin. They have far to travel, and this is an emotional day. That should not have happened to them either. I congratulate them for the work they have done. They have been amazing. As Deputy O'Rourke has said, they were inspirational. I hope they find some peace today for the remainder of their lives and that the things promised to them are delivered in a timely way. It is three months since they came off the road outside and they have still not been delivered. I wish them the best of luck and I hope today has helped them heal in some little way.
