I welcome the Taoiseach's continued commitment to multilateralism and human rights, the rule of law and democracy. As someone who has raised Iran in this House before, I salute too the brave men and women who are fighting against that oppressive regime. Equally, it the right of the people of Venezuela, now that the despot Maduro has gone, to decide on their future, even though his removal was in breach of international law. I raise the question of Greenland. In August 2018, I made a personal visit to Greenland, including to Ilulissat inside the Arctic Circle. It is a beautiful and special place. The people are very friendly and welcoming. They are, understandably, increasingly nervous. It is a matter for the people of Greenland to decide on their future. I ask the Taoiseach to express solidarity with the people of Greenland, reiterate that it is a matter for the people of Greenland to decide their future and work with Denmark, our EU partner, on this matter.
